79-Year-Old Man Reported Missing In Moreno Valley Safely Located

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police Tuesday located a 79-year-old man who was reported missing in Moreno Valley.

Eduardo Estrada Lopez was safely located and has been reunited with his family members.

Officers were sent around 8:48 p.m. Monday to the 24300 block of Marilyn Street in regards to an at risk missing adult, according to the Moreno Valley Police Department.

Upon their arrival, police learned Lopez had not been heard from or seen for several hours.

Authorities believe around 4 p.m., Lopez walked away from his home that he shares with his son.

A Riverside County Sheriff's Department bloodhound led officers to the intersection of Dracea Avenue and Moreno Way during a preliminary investigation. The scent, however, was then lost.

Detectives described Lopez as a Hispanic man who has gray hair and brown eyes, stands 5-foot-5 tall and weighs 125 pounds.

He has asthma, and is possibly in the early stages of dementia.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Moreno Valley Police Department at (951) 486-6700.
