1 Dead, 4 Injured In Shooting At Santa Ana Restaurant

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed and four others were injured early Monday morning in a shooting at an Orange County restaurant.

The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. at the El Zocalo Mexican Grill and Seafood on North Tustin Avenue near East 4th Street in Santa Ana, officials said.

According to police, an argument began in the bar area of the restaurant before the shooting took place.

One man was killed and two others suffered gunshot wounds — one was in critical condition and the other had moderate injuries.

Two suspects attempted to escaped and were caught by customers and security officers, prompting both of them to suffer moderate injuries as well.

Police believe a third suspect may have escaped. A weapon was recovered at the scene.

The incident was under investigation.
