Beverly Hills Man Identified In Murder-Suicide Involving Estranged Wife Was Celeb Fitness Trainer

BEVERLY HILLS (CBS:A.com) —  Authorities on Thursday identified a man they believe shot and killed his estranged wife at his Beverly Hills duplex and then took his own life.

The bodies were found about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of South Elm Drive, Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said.

Vincent Maggio, 39, of Beverly Hills killed the woman and then shot himself, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.

The name of the woman, in her 30s, was withheld pending notification of her relatives.

A neighbor told the LA Times the couple had separated about three months ago and that Maggio was devastated by the break-up.

The friend told reporters the couple would occasionally meet, having had dinner together on Valentine's Day.

Police had no prior contact with the couple, Hoshino said.

The couple's teen son reportedly found the bodies.

Maggio was a bit actor and also a fitness trainer with celebrity clients including Calvin Klein, Rose McGowan and Mariska Hargitay.

There are also pictures online of Maggio meeting or hanging with famous folks like Hugh Jackman and Bethenny Frankel.
