Report: Lakers To Offer Suns' Dragic $80M Deal

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Lakers may be willing to pay big bucks to acquire Phoenix Suns' guard Goran Dragic, according to a report Friday.

Team officials have signaled plans to agressively go after the Slovenian guard with a four-year, $80 million offer, which would approach max contract territory, ESPN's Marc Stein reported.

The Houston Rockets are also considered potential suitors for Dragic, 28, who played for the Rockets in between two separate stints with the Suns.

Dragic a posted career-best numbers in points per game (20.3) and field goal percentage (50.5) last season. This season, he is averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds through his first 52 games.

The Suns are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in return for Dragic, who will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
