Man Arrested For Allegedly Robbing In-N-Out Burger In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A 25-year-old man was in custody Sunday for allegedly robbing an In-N-Out Burger at gunpoint.

According to the Corona Police Department, officers responded around 10:57 p.m. Saturday to an In-N-Out Burger, located in the 400 block of Auto Center Drive, for report of an armed robbery.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, Andres Perez, of Riverside, wore a green bandana over his face, and was armed with a silver handgun during the robbery.

Detectives learned from witnesses at the scene that Perez was last seen in a black Honda, driving westbound on the 91 freeway.

Additional officers responded to monitor the freeway, and located a black Honda that matched the description, in a parking lot in Yorba Linda on Savi Ranch Parkway.

Officers explained the vehicle was involved in a carjacking, and was taken at gunpoint from the Woodcrest area of Riverside County earlier that evening.

When officers searched the vehicle, a Ruger handgun, green bandana, and stolen money taken in the robbery was recovered.

Perez was subsequently arrested, and is being held for armed robbery at the Riverside County Jail.

No injuries were reported.
