2 Alleged Heroin Dealers Arrested In LA, Ventura County

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Two men remained in custody on Saturday for their alleged involvement in dealing heroin to customers in the Simi Valley and San Fernando Valley areas.

According to the Simi Valley Police Department, narcotics detectives received a tip on Wednesday regarding a suspect who was actively selling heroin to customers in Simi Valley.

Officers located Jesus Meza-Villasenor, 20, of Los Angeles, selling to a resident in the 2000 block of Denny Street.

Meza-Villasenor was found in possession of 78 balloons filled with heroin, which totaled more than one and a half ounces, police explained.

He is being held on $50,000 at the Ventura County Main Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale, and transportation of a controlled substance.

According to police, customer Ryan Behr, 29, of Simi Valley, was arrested for attempted possession of a controlled substance, which is now considered a misdemeanor. Behr was issued a citation and was released.

On Thursday, officers explained they completed a three week long investigation into the sales of heroin in Simi Valley and San Fernando Valley.

A search warrant was conducted at the home of Shane Brown, 21, of Valley Village, located in the 11000 block of Ostego Street.

Officers reported Brown attempted to flee from officers, but was taken into custody after a short food pursuit.

The warrant revealed a small amount of heroin, and evidence which supported drug sales.

Brown is being held on $55,000 at the Main Jail in Ventura, for possession of a controlled substance for sale, sales of a controlled substance, and obstructing, resisting, or delaying an officer's duties.
