PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Deputies sought the public's help Friday in locating a 28-year-old man accused of abducting his 3-month-old girl in Palmdale.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Ellsworth Jerome Young punched his girlfriend in the face around 11:40 a.m., leaving her with a black eye.

Young was last reported being seen in Bakersfield about 6 p.m.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the infant or Young is urged to contact deputies at (661) 272-2400.
