Magnitude-3.9 Earthquake Hits 12 Miles South Of San Pedro

SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — A magnitude-3.9 earthquake hit 12.4 miles south of San Pedro Tuesday afternoon, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor was reported at 3:26 p.m.

The epicenter was located off the coast, 14 miles south, southeast of Rancho Palos Verdes and 16 miles south, southwest of Long Beach, according to USGS.
