1 Killed, 1 Injured In Downtown LA Shooting
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officers were investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting Saturday that claimed the life of a woman and injured a man.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were sent around 2:00 a.m. to the area of West 43rd Street and Hoover Street.
Once on scene, officers transported a female victim in her 20s to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A male victim was reportedly shot through the hand, and was treated for injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the male victim was driving home with the female victim, when they were both shot at in the area of 14th Street and Alameda.
They continued to drive to the area of West 43rd Street, where officers located the victims.
Police said at this time there is no information regarding a suspect and the motive of the shooting remains unknown.
