Search Launched In Hacienda Heights For Pursuit Suspect
HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a search is underway in Hacienda Heights for a suspect accused of leading California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit.
The CHP says the suspect was on a motorcycle when he crashed Thursday on an on-ramp to the eastbound 60 Freeway.
After the crash, authorities said the suspect ran from the scene.
Aerial footage of the scene showed ground and air units in search of the suspect, according to Sky9's Stu Mundel, who said no streets had been cordoned off.
As of 8:30 p.m., Mundel said authorities located the rider's helmet.
No further information was available.
