Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 29)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Enjoy the warm sunny weather Wednesday because we will transition to some winter weather as we approach Halloween.

Look for a pretty deep trough to move into the west coast for the weekend.

We are looking at temperatures into the 80s for Wednesday that are well above average for this time of year.  .

Thursday is our transition day as we see the on-shore flow kick in and temperatures start to fall.

By Friday a cold front will sweep across the west coast.  Rain will fall associated with that front north of Point Conception.

For the Southland, our rainfall will be associated with the deep trough.  Timing of the rain is still a little tricky...it is kind of up in the air whether we see the rain during your trick or treating activities or after.

I think for trick-or-treating, it will be cool, cloudy and dry.  However as we get closer to 9 p.m. or 10 .pm. the threat of rain increases.  Totals on this system will be in the ballpark of .10".

There is one forecast model that is being a little aggressive advertising rain closer to .25"...but it is the outlier.  The wet weather should be finished by the middle of the day on Saturday.  However, it will be a cool weekend with temperatures hovering in the upper 60s to low 70s.
