Police Arrest Man Suspected In Craigslist Sex Assault, Ask Other Possible Victims To Come Forward
GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — Police have arrested a man suspected in at least one sexual assault in Garden Grove and are asking other possible victims to come forward.
Garden Grove police Tuesday arrested a 31-year-old white male resident of the Orange County city on charges of sexually assaulting an adult female victim overnight.
Police say the man arranged to meet the victim through Craigslist and had posted an ad requesting female companionship.
"During their time together, the suspect engaged in an unwanted sexual act with the victim," a police spokesperson stated.
Investigators believe the man committed similar crimes against at least two other victims.
Authorities have declined to release the man's name and photo in order to prevent compromising the investigation.
