U.S. Bank Branch Robbed In Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A gun-toting robber grabbed cash after jumping a counter at a U.S. Bank branch office in Garden Grove on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The robbery suspect, who was described as a man in his 20s of Asian descent, demanded cash at gunpoint, said Garden Grove police Lt. Ben Stauffer. He jumped over the counter to take cash from one teller while telling a second to get more money. After taking the cash from the second teller, the suspect fled.

The robbery took place around 1:40 p.m. at the U.S. Bank office at 12112 Valley View St., Stauffer told City News Service.

The suspect was last seen wearing a baseball cap and a white T-shirt with black sleeves, Stauffer said. Police asked anyone with more information about the robbery to call (714) 741-5704.
