Former Youth Supervisor Gets Prison Time For Molesting 2 Girls At Lancaster Church

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A former youth supervisor was sentenced Tuesday for molesting two girls at a Lancaster church.

Jonathan Michael Macy, 31, was sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison after pleading no contest on Sept. 12 to one count of lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14 and admitted the special allegation of more than one victim, officials from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.

Macy molested two girls, ages 11 and 12, during Sunday church services at Grace Chapel Church within a period of one year starting in August 2013, Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami said.

Macy could have faced charges involving four more alleged victims, but the additional potential counts were not filed as a result of the plea.

The former youth supervisor worked at Grace Chapel and Desert Christian School, which share the same Lancaster campus. He also worked as a substitute teacher at St. Mary's School and Grace Lutheran School.
