Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 2)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The warm weather has arrived!

High pressure has developed along the west coast and the off-shore flow is kicking in. This means very warm temperatures for valleys and the basin Thursday afternoon. The hottest valleys will approach 100.

Look for warmer weather Friday and Saturday — possibly in the ballpark of 104 to 106 degrees in spots.

It will still be well above average on Sunday and even Monday. However, by Tuesday the ridge breaks down bringing some cooler weather.

There are red flag warnings in effect through Friday and some wind advisories are in place Thursday. There is a heat advisory in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Don't be surprised if any or all of these watches and warnings get extended into Friday and Saturday.
