Simi Valley H.S. Student Accused Of Possessing Marijuana Candy

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they've arrested a student of Simi Valley High School on suspicion of possessing marijuana candy.

The candy, known as "pot suckers" or "jolly lollies," was recovered Tuesday by school resource officers, Simi Valley police said in a statement.

Police said the unidentified student was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana candy but was later released.

The incident remained under investigation.

Meanwhile, authorities warned parents to be aware of these unlawful items, which are most often purchased on the Internet.
