Man Killed In Drive-By Shooting Outside Compton Home
COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally wounded Sunday during a drive-by shooting in Compton.
At around 1 a.m., a dark-colored compact car drove past a group of people standing outside a home in the 900 block of North Evers Avenue, according to Deputy Amber Smith o f the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
A person in the car opened fire and a man standing outside was struck by a bullet in the upper torso, Smith said.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he died from his injury, she said.
