Search Continues For Missing CSUN Student

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A Cal State Northridge student from Saudi Arabia who sold his car and stopped attending classes more than a week ago is still missing, police said Saturday.

Abdullah Abdullatif Alkadi, 23, was last seen at his home in the 9900 block of Reseda Boulevard about noon on Sept. 18, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He sold his car a day earlier, according to his older brother, Ahmed Alkadi, but police have since found it and said the buyer is not linked to the CSUN student's disappearance.

Following his disppearance, police traced Abdullah Alkadi's cell phone to Beaumont, east of Moreno Valley and Redlands, where it was deactivated, and Ahmed Alkadi says his brother has no ties.

"We have been in misery," Ahmed Alkadi told City News Service last week. "We have tried everything. We called friends. We called relatives. We called everybody we knew and with no news. We are so worried about him."

Los Angeles police describe the electrical engineering student as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Abdullah Alkadi was wearing a blue shirt, jeans and beige shorts.

The LAPD requested that anyone with information call its missing persons unit at 213-996-1800.
