Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 2)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — There's a mellow pattern the next few days. The high pressure that kept the weather warm over the holiday weekend is beginning to break down. That's going to translate into a little more marine layer and temperatures dropping down slightly below average.

All-in-all it's going to be quite nice through the end of the week.

By Friday, the high nudges back to the west bringing in a slight warm-up. By the beginning of next week, a weak frontal boundary pushes through the Southland. This will mean some breezy conditions and slightly cooler temperatures on Monday.

There's a tropical system brewing to the south. This will take a similar track to Hurricane Marie, and the only effects will be high surf.
