Man's Body Found Along 605 Freeway In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The death of a man whose body was found along the San Gabriel (605) Freeway Thursday was being investigated, officials said.
The body was found around 1:30 a.m. by Caltrans workers in a storm drain in the southbound HOV lane, near Carson Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
"The body is badly decomposed. Preliminary investigation seems to indicate that the death is non-criminal in nature," Dept. Trina Schrader said.
It was unclear how the man the victim died.
The California Highway Patrol closed both directions of the carpool lanes for an investigation.
