WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday were searching for a man who made off with $4,000 in cash after he robbed an Islands Restaurant in the San Fernando Valley.

The robbery happened at the restaurant located in the 23000 block of Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills, the Los Angele Police Department said.

According to authorities, the suspect came in through the business’ back door right before closing around 11 p.m. Sunday and demanded cash.

He held one employee at gunpoint and made another open a safe, the LAPD said.

A worker handed over the money and the suspect fled the scene.
