Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 30)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Look for another warm and humid day Wednesday as a steady stream of moisture moves through the region thanks to Tropical Storm Hernan.

High temperatures Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday's. With the moisture in place there is a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the mountains and deserts.

Look for a mellow Thursday and Friday with highs above average. Later Saturday, it looks like monsoonal moisture returns with some added vorticity (lift in the atmosphere). That means late Saturday into Sunday there is the threat of a thunderstorm, and that threat could stretch into the LA Basin.

Starting next week it looks like a trough sets up along the west coast. That could spell the return of an organized marine layer.
