2 Injured When SUV Crashes Into Store In Hawthorne

HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) —  An SUV crashed into a storefront in Hawthorne Thursday afternoon, leaving two people injured.

Authorities said the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. at 138th Street and Hawthorne Boulevard.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said the two injuries appeared to be minor.

He also said it was unclear if the injuries involved people inside the store — a sign shop — or the vehicle.

Mundel also reported police were giving someone, likely the driver of the SUV, a field-sobriety test as he was flew overhead.
