UPDATE (6/19/2014: 4:50 a.m.) Garcia was found safe just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night and returned to her family.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police Wednesday were searching for a 13-year-old girl who went missing in the Wilshire area.

Aeleene Daphne Garcia was last seen around 3:30 p.m. at her home in the 1200 block of West Boulevard.

Her family said she had stepped outside the front door to feed the family’s pets when she disappeared.

Garcia was described as Hispanic, 4-foot-7, 75 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink tank top and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
