Overturned Semi-Truck Blocks Eastbound 91 Freeway In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A semi-truck overturned on the eastbound 91 Freeway Saturday morning in Riverside, trapping the driver inside and blocking all lanes.

California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene at 5:52 a.m., near Spruce Street.

Fuel has leaked onto the roadway.

Three hours after the wreck, the large cargo truck had been dragged on its side out of the two left lanes, and traffic was allowed to head north to the 215, but not west to the 60.

They were unsuccessful in getting the truck upright. CHP Sgt. Kenny Hagerman said it will take them four to six hours to offload the stricken semitrailer.
