Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 29)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Extremely hot temperatures have arrived. Already it's a warm start this Tuesday.

A building ridge of high pressure combined with an off-shore flow will contribute to the extreme heat and dry conditions. There are wind warnings and advisories in place through Thursday. There is also a fire weather watch in place as well.

Humidity levels are dropping as the north and northeast winds kick in. These winds will target the San Fernando Valley. Look for dangerous gusts throughout the valley floor, however, as the winds shift out of the east, which they will do on Wednesday, the Orange County coastal plain will be hit with the gusts and some of the warmest temperatures.

This hot weather event will start to pull back Friday, resulting in much cooler weather into the weekend.

Basin -low 90s

Coast - upper 80s to low 90s

Valleys - mid 90s

Mtns - low 60s

Deserts - low 80s
