ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “it’s a small world” attraction with a global singalong.
Disney launched a website where people from all around the world can submit themselves singing the infectious tune. Visitors can also create virtual dolls by mixing and matching faces and clothing.
The company will donate $150,000, plus a dollar for every video and doll posted, to UNICEF.
The ride, which was originally billed as a salute to UNICEF, debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York before opening at Disneyland in 1966.
