LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 5.2-magnitude earthquake was reported near Baja California on Friday evening.

The tremor struck just before 6 p.m.

The quake initially appeared to have struck six miles west of the city of Mojave but that was due to a computer glitch, according to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

No further information was available.
