CBS News Tracks Developments, Updates On GM Recall

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — CBS News has created a page with the latest information about the GM recall regarding a defective ignition switch that is linked to a dozen deaths.

GM is recalling more than one and a half million cars.

The car manufacturer, in a letter to regulators, says it knew about the faulty switches as far back as 2001.

Starting in 2004, the switches were used in several GM cars including the Chevy Cobalt.
