LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives Saturday were looking for more information in connection with a deadly overnight shooting that claimed one life and left another person wounded.

Los Angeles police said in a written statement that officers responded to a shooting call near Country Club and Norton Avenue about 1:35 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a male victim behind some parked cars. A second victim was located inside a nearby home.

Both were transported to an area hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other person was said to be in stable condition.

“The initial investigation revealed the victims were possibly involved in an altercation with the suspects at the time of the shooting. The suspects were described as male Hispanics,” according to the statement.

Anyone with more information about this case was asked to call West Bureau Homicide Detectives at (213) 382-9470 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7 during non-business hours.
