Camarillo Teen Accused Of Robbing 15-Year-Old In Ventura

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 17-year-old boy from Camarillo has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Ventura.

Ventura police said in a written statement that the suspect approached a 15-year-old, who was skateboarding near Pacific View Mall, and allegedly demanded all of the victim's money and property.

The victim, fearing for his safety, complied.

The statement says the suspect allegedly fled on foot but was arrested a few blocks away by officers, who responded within minutes.

The unidentified suspect was booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery.

No one was injured, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
