Jury Orders 'Friends' Star Lisa Kudrow To Pay Ex-Manager $1.6M
SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Actress Lisa Kudrow Wednesday was ordered by a jury to pay her former manager more than a million dollars in residuals from her work on "Friends".
Scott Howard, who says he worked with the 50-year-old actress from 1991 to 2007, filed a lawsuit asking for $1.7 million. He claimed the pair made an oral agreement, and he was owed a percentage of her earnings from the 16 years they worked together.
Kudrow contended during trial that the pair parted ways in 2007, but stated she had paid Howard more than $11 million.
Testimony indicated she was earning more than $1 million per episode when the sitcom ended.
The plaintiff was awarded $1.6 million.
