Man, 44, Accused Of Attempted Kidnapping In Rosemead

ROSEMEAD (CBSLA.com) —  A 44-year-old man has been arrested and accused of the attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy last month in Rosemead.

Temple Sheriff’s investigators said an 11-year old male was accosted near Del Mar Avenue and Emerson Place.

Officials said the suspect attempted to kidnap the boy.

Authorities said this morning, at approximately 10 a.m., deputies observed a male matching the suspect’s description. The suspect was walking on the 2700 block of Del Mar Avenue.

The suspect was detained, identified, and arrested without incident. The suspect was identified as Bin Zhang of San Gabriel.

Zhang was was booked on attempt kidnapping charges, and is currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
