Anaheim Woman Accused Of Pimping Prostitutes Out Of Motel-Based Brothel

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — An Anaheim woman was charged Friday with pimping two women from a brothel she allegedly ran out of a motel.

Ramona Judith Mora Garcia, 41, was charged with two felony counts of pimping and pandering, Orange County District Attorney's officials said.

Prosecutors say Garcia recruited two women – one 38 years old, the second 33 years old – to work for her as prostitutes in a brothel she was operating out of an Anaheim motel. Garcia allegedly placed sexually suggestive ads in a Latino magazine and set up the women up to meet with men for sex.

Garcia allegedly kept half the payments both women received.

Garcia is being held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. She faces a maximum sentence of seven years and four months in state prison if convicted.
