Sherman Oaks Bakery Caters To Every Dietary Need
SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — As Valentine's Day nears, a bakery in Sherman Oaks is touting that it caters to every dietary need.
Buttercelli Bakeshop produces organic and natural traditional, gluten-free, vegan and Paleo diet-based goods.
"Everyone in the family, regardless of their dietary needs or any restrictions that they have, can come and have something, so no one is deprived," Valerie Whalin told CBS2's Lisa Sigell.
Patron Nadia Angelini has celiac disease, which means she can't have gluten.
"We found this place and we're obsessed. [My fiancé] gets the gluten-free vegan cupcakes and I do a lot of Paleo stuff because no bakeries have Paleo...everything is organic. And you can taste it…you can taste the difference," she said.
From cupcakes to pot pies, Whalin said everything is created and baked from the heart.
"We just want to be that place where people can come and get delicious and nutritious products made with love," she said.
