ENCINO (CBSLA.com) — Actor and comedian Chris Kattan was arrested early Monday for DUI after he allegedly crashed into a maintenance truck on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. on the westbound Ventura Freeway, near the Balboa Boulevard exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Kattan’s Mercedes then collided with a Department of Transportation vehicle that was parked on the shoulder for maintenance work, according to the CHP.

The 43-year-old “Saturday Night Live” alum was not injured in the crash and was able to exit his car, the CHP said.

No other injuries were reported.
