ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — A sports utility vehicle slammed into a home Monday after a police pursuit in Pasadena.

The chase started shortly before 5:20 p.m. on Old Ranch Road and Huntington Drive in Arcadia when an officer witnessed a motorist running a red light, Arcadia police Lt. Roy Nakamura said.

The 44-year-old driver then ran through another red light at Sunset Avenue.

The suspect continued driving until he skidded across a front yard and crashed into the home near California Boulevard and Sidney Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

The man was hospitalized with moderate injuries and taken into custody.
