Brush Fire Flares Up In Colby Fire Burn Area

GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters are working to extinguish a small brush fire that flared up within the Colby Fire burn area above Glendora Sunday.

Glendora police say the flames erupted 600 yards north of 1100 N. Easley Canyon.

Two hand crews, an engine and a water-dropping helicopter are on the scene, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Brian Jordan.

The Colby Fire remained 98 percent contained Thursday evening.

Firefighters expect to fully contain the blaze by midnight.
