Stroke Survivor, 43, Goes Missing From East LA Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding a 43-year-old East Los Angeles man who has been missing since Monday.

Adrian John Cortez was last seen at his home on South Eastman Avenue around noon.

Cortez suffered a stroke, which resulted in diminished mental capacity, partial paralysis of both arms and him walking with a limp.

He also suffers from seizures and high blood pressure.

Cortez was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a 2 to 3-inch scar on his chin.  He was wearing a red zippered jacket, gray thermal shirt, black jeans and slippers.

Anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts was asked to contact Det. T. Abraham or Det. C. Carns at (323) 890-5500.
