KOREATOWN (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday night were searching for a suspect in Koreatown.
Gang unit officers out of the LAPD’s Olympic Division were talking to two men around 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of 14th and Magnolia. Both men ran from police.
As one of the men fled, a gun fell out of his pocket and discharged when it hit the ground. No one was injured.
One man was taken into custody. The other is still outstanding.
A perimeter has been set up at 14th and Orchard.
No other information was made available.
