95-Year-Old Man Killed In Pasadena Apartment Fire
PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A 95-year-old man was killed early Saturday in a fire in Pasadena.
It happened just after midnight in the 100 block of Carlton Avenue, according to Pasadena Fire Department spokesperson Lisa Derderian.
The fire broke out inside a front unit of a duplex.
Firefighters found the victim after forcing their way inside his home.
Neighbors remembered the victim as very active in his community.
"Always looking out for his neighbors, very active, took walks during the day and a very healthy 95-year-old male," Derderian said.
Investigators say the victim had lived in the unit since 1970.
