Streaking Ducks G Jonas Hiller Sits With illness

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Anaheim Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller is sitting out against Vancouver with an illness.

Frederik Andersen will fill in against Vancouver on Wednesday night for Hiller, whose 14-game winning streak is the second-longest in a single season in NHL history.

The NHL-leading Ducks have won 17 of 18 overall.

Hiller hasn't lost since Dec. 3, going 23-4-4 with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.

The Swiss Olympic team's goalie beat Detroit 1-0 Sunday for his third shutout of the season. He trails only Gilles Gilbert's record 17-game winning streak during the 1975-76 season.

Andersen briefly went to the AHL to get playing time last weekend. The Danish goalie is 10-2-0 with a 2.07 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage for Anaheim.

John Gibson backed up Andersen.
