Awards List For 2014 Tournament Of Roses Parade

The following is a complete list of the awards bestowed Wednesday by the Tournament of Roses judges in Pasadena:

Past Presidents' Award for most-creative design, "So Close, Yet Safari Away," Western Asset Management Co.;

Governor's Award for best depiction of life in California, "Let's Be Neighbors," City of Glendale;

Sweepstakes Award for most beautiful, "Sunrise At The Oasis," Dole Packaged Foods;

Theme Award for excellence in parade theme, "Light Up The World," Donate Life;

Mayor's Award for most-outstanding city entry, "Catching The Big One," Sierra Madre Rose Float Association;

Extraordinaire Award for most spectacular float, "Connecting Cultures, Delivering Dreams," Singpoli Group;

Bob Hope Humor Award, "Dog Gone!", La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association.

Judge's Special Award for most spectacular showmanship and dramatic impact, "Stellabrate Good Times," Stella Rosa Wines.

Queen's Award for most effective use of roses, "Grow Something Greater," Miracle Gro.

Lathrop K. Leishman Award for most beautiful non-commercial float, "First Steps To Total health," Kaiser Permanente.

Crown City Innovation Award for best use of imagination and innovation to advance float design, "Bedtime Buccaneers," Cal Poly Universities.

Directors' Award for outstanding artistic merit, "Wonderful Indonesia," Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia.

Tournament Volunteers' Award for best floral design for floats under 35 feet, "Love To the Rescue," Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Founders' Award for most beautiful float built by volunteers, "The Glass Slipper," Downey Rose Float Association.

Fantasy Award for most outstanding display of fantasy, "Lights! Camera! Action!", Burbank Tournament of Roses Association.

International Award for most beautiful non-U.S. entry, "Taiwan Dreams Rising," China Airlines Ltd.

Grand Marshal's Award for excellence in creative concept and design, "Adventures In Space," Public Storage.

President's Award for most effective use of flowers, "Sea Of Surprise," Sea World.

Animation Award for best animation, "Protecting Your Dream, Right In Your Own Backyard," Underground Service Alert 811.

Isabella Coleman Award for best use of color in flowers, "Love Is The Best Protection," AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

Princess' Award for best float under 35 feet, "Jesus Welcomes All," Lutheran layman's League.

Craftsman Award, exceptional showmanship in floats longer than 55 feet, "Lucy's Performing Rescue Dogs," The Lucy Pet Foundation, Inc.

Tournament Special Award for exceptional merit, "Lions Built matteo's Dream," Lion's Club International.

National Award, best depiction of life in U.S.A., "Our Eyes Are On The Stars," Wingtip to Wingtip Association.
