Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting At Riverside Park

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally shot Tuesday by officers at a park in Riverside, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. at Arlington Park on Van Buren Boulevard, adjacent to the children’s play pen, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Police came in contact with a man and a woman while on a patrol of the park when the man pulled out a gun and an officer-involved shooting occurred, police said.

The man, in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female was not arrested but taken to the police station for further questioning.

No further details were known.
