LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Health inspection grades for some restaurants in Los Angeles are now posted on the business review website Yelp.
KNX 1070’s Claudia Peschiutta reports that the site recently started putting up the scores, along with health code violations and correction information.
While the inspection information has been available on the county’s public health department website for years, it takes some effort to find it.
“We think the more places that information is available, the more likely it will be utilized,” L.A. County Public Health Director Jonathan Fielding said.
Yelp does not offer scores for all restaurants—only those with health inspections completed after July 1.
