Family: Aunt Found Fatally Stabbed, Wrapped In Plastic At South LA Apartment

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman Wednesday said she discovered the body of her aunt, who was apparently stabbed to death, wrapped in plastic at a South LA apartment.

Crystal Spradley said she had not heard from her aunt, 45-year-old Wanda Threadgill, for two weeks and went over to the woman's apartment in the 9600 block of South Western Avenue around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Spradley said she called 911 after finding Threadgill's body.

The Los Angeles Police Department says the death is suspicious and is treating it as a homicide, but would not confirm the victim's manner of death.
