Fires Reported In Pacoima, Lake View Terrace
LAKE VIEW TERRACE and PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — A building went up in flames in Kagel Canyon and a brush fire in Lake View Terrace scorched less than an acre along the 210 Freeway.
The fire in Kagel Canyon, north of Pacoima, was reported at 2:02 p.m. and destroyed a structure, according to Los Angeles County firefighters.
Another brush fire was reported at 2:10 p.m. in Lake View Terrace, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Less than an acre was scorched along the Foothill Freeway before fire crews were able to put it out.
No injuries were reported in either fire.
High pressure over the region pushed the high at LAX to 85 degrees Monday, tying the Dec. 16 record reached in 1980.
