INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Dubai You X Y Z returned from an extended layoff to win the $60,500 feature by 1 1/4 lengths at Betfair Hollywood Park on Friday.

Ridden by Brice Blanc, Dubai You X Y Z ran a mile on the turf in 1:33.71 and paid $6, $3.40 and $2.80 as the 2-1 favorite in the field of seven.

El Commodore returned $4 and $2.80, while Te Rapa was another nose back in third and paid $3 to show.

Dubai You X Y Z had been idle since May 2. The 6-year-old gelding has career earnings of $198,400. He’s been worse than third just once.

Jockeys Alex Bisono and Fernando Perez were involved in a spill in Friday’s first race.

Rocky Barboa, Bisono’s mount, went wrong with about a quarter of a mile to run and Bob Consultation, Perez’s mount, fell over the fallen gelding.

Bisono wasn’t injured after being checked at the track’s first aid station. Perez was being evaluated for a possible collarbone injury at a hospital.
