Missing Person: 10-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Abducted By Mother In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a 10-year-old boy allegedly  abducted by his mother outside a foster home.

Matisse Murphy was taken at 8:50 a.m. Monday by 39-year-old Nisshawn Murphy, according to Deputy Jodi Wolfe of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

A judge had ordered the boy's mother to relinquish custody due to several criminal convictions.

Wolfe said cellphone records show Nisshawn Murphy had made several trips from South LA to the Antelope Valley recently.

The mother is said to stand 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 154 pounds. She's driving a white four-door Ford Explorer with California license plate 6VZX199.

The 10-year-old is described as African-American, 4 feet 11 inches tall and 80 pounds.

Officials ask anyone with information about the mother or son to call the sheriff's Palmdale station at (661) 272-2500 or (661) 272-2477.
