Family Altercation In Palmdale Reportedly Results In Gunfire
PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — The Palmdale Sheriff's Department continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting on Saturday night.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the 19000 of E. Avenue R-6 around 11:40 p.m. following a report of "shots fired."
Upon arriving on scene, they encountered one person who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators believe the shooting was the result of some kind of family altercation.
Although the suspect fled before deputies arrived on scene, authorities were able to track him to a second location on Nectarine Drive and Apricot drives.
While deputies were attempting to enter the home, they received a call for help at that same location.
Authorities said the suspect agreed to exit the home and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Although there were people inside the second location, none were harmed.
